Yoga is a wonderful way to get a stronger, more flexible body. But it also encourages a stronger, more flexible mind. You might have heard the term "you get out what you put in". This couldn't be truer in practicing yoga. It took me a long time to realize it is definitely not about nailing the pose, rather it is ALL about being intentional. In your poses, your breath, your words to others and to yourself, in how you spend your time and with whom you spend your time, in living your purpose, fueling your body, integrity. Yoga simply put helps us to become better humans. Who wouldn't want that?
Now, change can be quite overwhelming. Breaking everything down into steps, or goals, will make it doable. I challenge you to pick one area to focus on. Maybe for a week, a month, however long it takes to become habit. Suggestions might be to move your body first thing in the morning, or not look at your phone for two hours before bed, or maybe you try a new breathing technique and do a little meditation. Small changes lead to big rewards.
Be consistent, because you are worth it. See you on your mat.
Just Breathe, Namaste.
